BRAND FOUNDATION

Marativa is a global seafood company rooted in sustainability and responsible sourcing. They approached us with a clear objective: to lead the ocean-first seafood movement and stand apart in an industry dominated by commodity-driven brands. Their vision required a brand identity that could elevate their mission, resonate with global buyers, and support long-term growth across multiple markets.

The name "Marativa" carried meaning in Latin America but lacked the clarity and impact needed for international expansion. We built the brand narrative around purpose, protection, and progress. The goal was to help Marativa tell a stronger story—one that matched their environmental leadership and premium product standards.

Execution

The brand identity centered around the trident, a symbol of strength, direction, and marine protection. This visual mark gave Marativa a bold foundation while signaling its commitment to ocean stewardship and future-focused leadership.

To balance strength with elegance, we developed an extended visual system using watercolor-inspired forms with canvas textures influenced by traditional Asian artistry. This visual approach introduced warmth and organic movement across packaging, marketing materials, and digital touchpoints. A restrained color palette led by Marativa Red and modern, legible typography ensured clarity and recognition across international markets. The system was crafted to feel premium, purposeful, and visually distinct in the seafood category.

BUSINESS IMPACT

Since launching the new identity, Marativa has expanded its international footprint and built stronger relationships with retailers and distributors focused on sustainability. The rebrand clarified the company’s purpose and elevated its presence in a highly competitive market.

The visual consistency of the brand helped Marativa stand out at industry expos and opened the door to new retail partnerships in both North and South America. By aligning its mission with its design, Marativa repositioned itself from a regional supplier to a premium global brand. The updated identity gave the company the tools to grow, communicate more effectively, and lead the seafood category through innovation and responsible sourcing.
