I got my start working the electronics counter at Kmart, explaining the difference between S-Video and RCA to people who didn’t ask. At night, I crashed on a friend’s couch and taught myself design with a pirated copy of Photoshop and a need to prove I could make something out of nothing. No degree. No mentors. Just grit, repetition, and a slightly unhealthy obsession with getting it right.
Two decades later, I’ve built brand systems for national companies and spent over a decade inside agency walls—learning the rhythm of creative workflows, tight timelines, and production pipelines from the inside out. But I still work like I’m one bad day away from being back at Kmart.
